Spooky Link UP
This is a Free Haunted House Smartboard Activity
for Beginning Sounds.
for Beginning Sounds.
I would love to have you try it out!
To play this interactive game, the students will move the ghost to the open door on the house by matching the letters on the ghost to the beginning sound for the items in the windows.
In this example, mushroom and mitten both begin with a /m/ sound. So the students would drag the ghost with the Mm on his tummy to the open door.

Printable ABC Frame Freebie
Since I was home most of the day sick in bed, I made this Freebie Printable just for visitors to my blog. I am hoping to feel stronger tomorrow, so I can have a full day of school with my kinders.
I thought this might be fun for Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Unit?
Do you have any other thoughts about a good use for this pdf?

B is for Bears
Teddy Bear Picnic
Last week we studied the letter T and this Week B.
So on Friday we had our Teddy Bear Picnic for Fun!
1. Early in the day we made our disgusies (bear ears).
We read bear stories while cuddling with our bears.
2. For our afternoon snack, we grabbed our bears, put on our bear ears, and marched to the song Teddy bear picnic to prepared spot with blankets spread out on the ground.
3. We drank milk with straws and a snack pack mixture of honey teddy grahams, chocolate cereal balls, and marshmallows.
4. Then we went on a bear hunt.
Group A hid group B's bears, so they could hunt for them.
Group B hid group A's Bears, so they could hunt for bears too.
5. Went inside to cool off with water and gummy bears.
Had fun on going on a movement bear hunt with the Smartboard.

2. Students cut out individual blocks.
3. Demonstrate how to start at the bottom and build up.
4. Children will glue blocks onto another piece of paper.
(I used blue construction paper.)
5. Stretch out some cotton balls for clouds
6. Students glue on clouds.
7. Students use a black crayon to draw windows and doors.
During Small group time:

Apple Core:

1. Top and Bottom
2. Core template
3. Leaves for top
Cut out, assemble, and draw on seeds
Activity Two:
I also use two apples to make the concept of sin concrete.
.1. I bite one side of an apple for Eve and the other side for Adam.
2. I show how bright and white the apple is inside
and when we sin we don't realize at first how it changes us on the inside.
It changes our relationship with God and each other.
3. Within a few minutes the apple starts to turn brownish
As we look at the apple with bites, I play the song "Sin is such a Yucky Thing" by Quigley James
